Yeah I can just tell you, the new popular toy are the zhu zhu pets, which are basically these fake hamsters that go through obstacle courses or something. Iunno, all I know is that we've got mothers lining up before at the crack of dawn for these things, and its not even holiday season! I don't understand ... cause personally I'd like to buy a real hamster. | |

| I think i saw a commercial for that when i was watching kim possi--- sports center the other day. Its like hot wheels... except with hamsters. They have tracks and everything from what i saw. This next generation of kids...... is really going to be something else. | |

| zhu zhu pets? never heard of them i remember when gigapets came out... those little things were the shizzle. they were just like tamagatchi, i dont know wich came first. either tamagatchi was first and it just came back or tamagatchi just copied gigapets and was more successful. then it was furbies, those things were scary. then it was robotic pets - one was the chrome colored ones and the other were these little things that just sat and meowed and walked around. another was shadow the barking walking dog... who happened to be a golden retriever. then it was aquapets. carebears came back. then neopets. then littlest pet shop.. im pretty sure im missing a huge list of pet toys but these are the ones i can remember. | |

| And all of those toys you listed Angie are infinitely cooler than these fake hamsters with wheels. Their obstacle courses are really not even very impressive. Like hotwheels go through loops and fast! Zhu zhu pets are lame, I don't understand. http://zhuzhupets.com/main.html < their website And I still have my tamagatchi! | |

| ooooooooo i guess i could see why little kids would want that. i probly would have too, lol. its just like a huggable hotwheel with fur i think the thing that attracts kids the most is: its an animal, most kids love movable animal toys it has an enclosed track and compartments and accessories - i dont know why, but all kids love seeing something go inside of another thing and comming back out. it amazes them soo much. the girls (boys too, but mostly girls) also like having something to be able to "take care" of, and bring with them where ever they go thats basically the reasons kids around the ages of 10- like these kinds of things. it seems boring and uncreative to us now, but thats because we have advanced stuff like the 360 and we become computer nerds. basically, kids love the simplicity in life. we are all about complications. ;-; kittens are busy chasing after leaves and cats turn fat and lazy | |

| I definitely wouldn't of played with that as a kid. Not only would I not have played with it, but my parents wouldn't of let me get it. At least with the tamagatchi it simulated having a real pet, because you took care of it and stuff, but these are just fur on wheels. Lol. Oh lord... The only thing I ever remember playing with were barbie dolls. But to each their own, I was never into animals when growing up anyway, so I'm not the best judge. I may just bitter because I get yelled at daily by some uptight woman who's kid really wants a fake hamster for their birthday. | |

| lol... i absolutely hated barbie dolls when i was a kid, or any form of human figurine for that matter. if it wasnt an animal form, i wouldnt have wanted it. plushies were (and still are) my absolute favorite <3 my childhood in order: plushies, pokemon, boxes of play food and toy cooking and supermarket sets, super nintendo, nintendo 64, robotic pets, gameboy color, gameboy advanced, gameboy advanced SP, nintendo DS | |

| I think barbies were pretty much all I was allowed. We played super nintendo too, but my parents didn't like us being inside too much, and always kicked us out. As a result, I never really played with many toys, we always played outside, using our imagination and collecting the stray cats. | |
