The forum has been dead lately, i dont know why, maybe we are all getting bored of it. So to liven it up, post any link that you want in this forum that you think will be entertaining. Damn, Louisiana schools are stupid. We never do cool labs like that. The coolest lab we ever did so far was filling a diaper with water and color dye and taking out the foam beads that absorb it and putting it in a baggy to carry around all day.

Yeah im pretty fortunate with the school i have. But next year the budget is going to get cut like crazy, so many teachers are going to get fired, which means giant classes, and which means my math class wont an upper level class because they need to reserve the seats for people on that level. Georgia and Hawaii are the only two states that actually have to make budget cuts for the schools.

=[ your poor school system. In Virginia they're trying to cut music classes in elementary school. I'm lucky I graduated when I did...

Why the budget cuts and all the teachers getting fired?
The Lafayette Parish School system for me pretty much sucks in general.. they really dont realize that the whole cell phone/hoodie/and dress code policy is a lot more trouble than its actually worth.
The reason is because so many people are getting referrals and detention, for the reason of not correctly following the dress code (and by that, I mean something as simple as not tucking your shirt in) or being caught with a phone. And for that, they get sent out of class to the office or get a suspension, meaning they miss the work and grades they could have gotten to pass just because of their stupid rule in the first place. And they wonder why Louisiana has about the worst education in the USA. They need to realize that highschoolers are always going to be rebellious
Ive actually never been even written up or got a referal at all this year. But the whole policy still aggravates me

Yeah that sucks, the cellphone rule, somewhat makes sense. But the hoodie law is absolutely retarded. We can have our cellphones out after school ends, and some teachers let us use cellphones during class. We can also listen to ipods in the hallways as long as one earphone is out... I guess someone at your school screwed it up for everybody

Yeah, something about some schools, they spend more time trying to teach you "life skills" and forget that they're supposed to be teaching you curriculum. Spending so much time dealing with administrative stuff like dress code, tardiness, cell phones, really takes away from them actually doing their job.

Oh wow. I think your school is worse than mine alek. We also dont have lockers, but we dont have the no long hair for guys/no accessories for girls rule. I think if we had that rule, everyone would go ballistic and say the schoolboard has finally lost it. Their seriously beginning to take the expression and freedom out of students these days

You only have 3 years of highschool? Lol, we have 4. Freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior years

Yeah.. things get a lot better after HS.

We should have 3 years, there is no need for a senior year, nobody cares about school at that year and it doesnt really matter since colleges dont care about your senior year, junior is the most important year

-sigh- Mex goverment Failz .-. + they rearranged the educative plan this year and now middleschoolers are sufering cuz they get out of school later then evryone (about 1:30hrs) and havea bad tiem with theyr classes =P
