What does everyone want for christmas?

an ipod would be very nice. im tired of stoneage CD players, i must be on my 5th one right now. i keep dropping/breaking/losing them, and all the CDs are a pain to keep track of.
if not an ipod, ill be happy with some DS games :3 (platinum?)
i believe i also heard of a ps2 being mentioned as well as a new computer......monitor -sigh-

Ps2 would be nice, outdated but nice. I still have mine and I play it more than my ps3! =D
Ipods are really useful since CD players explode your pocket and it's alot easier and nicer to use. I like your wishlist =D Platnium I heard is just like the others, with slight difference. I would get FF instead :3

i dont want to get any FF games until (if) i get a ps2 so i can start from the very first. i like to start from the first of something rather jump into the set. its like picking up a book in the middle of the 5th chapter and start reading.
BUT i am interested in finally starting to play some ff games. just a few questions-
1. what game console is the very first one for
2. can you even find the first one anymore
3. how many are there total
4. is there actually a plot that follows throughout all the games
5. would it be worth it starting from first and going up

You can start Final Fantasy basically anywhere due to it having a new story line in each game. The only FF game so far that I know off that has continued on and is the only game to have a squeal is a FFX and FFX-2. FFXII had a prequel I think.


I want a new phone, I can't stand my shitty 2001 model. Other then that the new Ratchet and Clank game on ps3 a Crack in Time. Thats all I really want for Christmas.

It was on SNES, but now adays you can get both the first and second one together in one game and it's available for the GBA/DS, 3rd is DS, 4th is DS 5th is PS1, 6th is PS1, 7th is PS1, 7-2 is PS2, 7-3 (prequel) PSP, 8 PS1, 9 PS1, 10 PS2, 10-2 PS2, 11 PC, 12 PS2, 12 (prequel) DS, 13 (not available) Xbow 360 + PS3, 14 (not available) PC.
Then there's the chocobo games where most are on PS1, DS, GBA or only available in japan. There are three Tactics', All either on DS or GBA, There are 5 crystal chronicals, 2 are on Wii, but one of them is available on DS, 1 is available on PS1 and another I can't remember. There are two movies; Advent chidren and Spirits within

2. can you even find the first one anymore
Yeah, you can, but best chance it'll be second hand, there's a shop that sells the 1st+2nd and the 3rd and 4th, but I have yet it by the remake of the 4th

3. how many are there total
If you can bother counting how many I listed up there ^^
Also take into consideration that in existance there is 19 chocobo games

4. is there actually a plot that follows throughout all the games
Most of the games are seperate, Crystal chronicals Ring of fates and echoes of time are in the same place at completely different times. There is a prequel to FF7, and an epilouge, there's also a fun little mobile game I got and deleted because ten minutes after downloading it... It was finished. FF10 and 10-2 are the most responsive sequel in the series, since everyone wanted to know what the fuck happened to yuna and shit after the first game... Unfortunately they made everyone horny as shit (they appearantly haven't stopped either XD)

5. would it be worth it starting from first and going up
My friend carlos and I have done the ENTIRE series starting from the 1st, moving all the way until tactics and such, right now we're waiting for FF13 and FF14 to come out so 1 (we can play together online in FF14) and 2 (we can compete to who will finish 13 first =D)

In my expertise, I recommend trying just 10, 4, 10-2 if you must, 7, 8 and I guess 12. Just pick one of those and you'll be good
- 10 has a nice story and it's fun to use strategy in a turntable
- 4 has a lovely story and I love he voices and everything (get it on DS) Cecil <3
- 10 - 2 wasn't really my favourite, but it's easy so it's a good starter (but please start this one after finishing 10 D:)
- 7... is so fucking hot, It has an awesome story, great characters, easy to hard bosses and my favourite quotes in the entire series
- 8 was voted as the most romantic story... and you'd bet... Because I cried at the end D: I LOVE YOU SQUALL
- 12 I guess is just fun if you don't bore yourself to death first. It can be VERY slow. But it's more fun if you know how to use strategies and be prepared the lose a few battles (I'd rate this as the hardest FF so far apart from 11. oh and probably 3's freaking hard final boss... I hate you Cloud of Darkness D;<)

i like the sound of 4, 7, and 8 so far. is 4 still available to buy in stores aswell as 7 and 8? i like to hear that 4 is on DS and 7 and 8 are on PS1, my friend has one that she said she would let me borrow :3

4 has been remade for DS, so it's ALOT better and nicer to the eyes.
and I didn't miss FF CC, it's also available on PS1, nobody wants a gamecube XD
I also forgot Dissidia, it's available for PSP, but seriously... It's completely shit, if you like those games like Tekken and shit then you might like this... But it's just another button masher. I really only played it for the story and characters

And YES GET 4, It's got my personal favourite story (2nd to 7 if you can be bothered reading everything XD) because Cecil is a dark knight but he cant get married (sorta like a priest) but he's deeply in love with a White mage (Rosa!) and after he gets betayed by his king, he realises how evil his kingdom has gotten, a few other things happen and he goes out to become a paladin. AND ROSA AND CECIL CAN FINALLY BE TOGETHER (happy endng) =D But that's not the ending D:

I've played and completed Tactics on GBA/VBA (Emulator), FFX, FFX-2 and I'm currently playing 12 and getting bored of it due to it being so hard and my guys aren't levelled, etc.I also got Dissidia and all it is a Teken game but with FF characters. Nothing special. My favorite game to come back to and play again has to be Tactics. It's an awesome game. FFX is good but the Dark Yojimbo is so hard to beat (You have to beat him 5 times in a row and he can basically ohko all your chars). FFX-2 is good but I haven't played it in a while. Apparently a 3rd one came out (FFX-3 international last mission) in Japan which sucks.

And i'm muslim, and when i said i wanted to in that first post, i was just trying to state a point, that i didn't celebrate... its not really a question of want or don't want. Its more of a cant... but would i change that? I don't think so (no offense to anyone who found that remotely offensive)

I just looked it up, your right they remade it to the DS... hopefully its not the same playstation version, because that was awful

guitar hero is boring unless your playing it with a bunch of friends or at parties. all it is is just one of those speed-matching quick response games. and i could imagine it would get pretty awkward if your family is just laying around the house and you start the game and just burst into singing. (or does only Rock Band have the singing)
