| Get it? Because it isn't live? I will see myself out. Anyways, lets just make this thread the mega thread for all posts, I will make a list of people in this top post of everybody that we should be waiting for before we continue to the next episode, that way it saves the guessing. So if you want to join us, just post your response and I will add you to the list below. Active members:

I have my alarm set so I wont be forgetting again, last week was just bad for me because of fathers day. Things at home are weird right now too so sometimes im not always here. I will usually let you know in advance if I cant make it for whatever reason but as of now I am good for this Sunday.

| Durarara Ep 1-3 - Spoiler:
I have no idea why I never got into the show when I originally watched it years ago. I probably wasn't picking up on the way this story is being told, which is pretty unconventional, but it is also cleverly done. I like how we get glimpses of certain characters and we find out how the main characters interweave with them, most shows save us from that hassle of trying to piece everything together, but if it is done right it can be rewarding. I guess we have to see how it plays out. The headless biker lady is by far the most interesting character despite getting the least amount of screen time. I also like how many times appliances have just been thrown like its a thing to do. I do get annoyed with the IM chatting because I can never tell who is talking, and also the change of narrators gets confusing but I will eventually be able to distinguish the voices I suppose.
I will rate these first three episodes a 3.5/5

| It's all good Alek. And just for further clarification:
Dead Anime Club = written posts in forum about Durarara
Live Anime Club = us in tinychat watching Shirobako
I know it's not a big deal but I would rather us keep discussions about each club in its respective thread. OR I'LL REPORT YOU FUCKERS TO THE MODS.

| - Episodes 1-3:
Yeah, the best part of this show is all the varying viewpoints and characters and how they relate to each other. It's pretty confusing though, so I really like how in the opening they do a review over the important events that happened previously and also introduce all the characters. It's actually a really good idea if you think about it. My only real complaint with the show is that the beginning feels somewhat slow because there is just a TON of foundation to set up with all the characters and everything. I remember the show picking up a LOT around halfway and all this foreshadowing and set up paid off. Also, even watching this a second time and having decent Japanese proficiency, I still have no idea who is talking in the IM messages. Also, I'm not sure, but I think even the voices associated with the names changed this episode. I'm not even sure if they are actually relevant characters or just supposed to be generic people to add exposition. It's interesting, but if they are actual characters in the show, the scene is basically lost on me since I have no idea who is talking.
