Just a fun little pokemon game I came up with.

And I agree, piplup didnt earn all that screentime. He just randomly showed up as the new star pokemon practially booting pikachu and meowth out of the way. I think they intended it to be a more cute star for females to like because they noticed the other star pokemon were more appealing to males. Pikachu earned that screentime because, well derp, he was the first pokemon and the most known companion. Meowth earned it because, also derp, hes the all around most unique- a talking pokemon and a semi-villan. piplup has nothing special about him.
Now enough of that rant. For my pokemon:

Nah not Charmeleon. But the pre-evolution of it is in the 1st generation while the pokemon itself is from the 2nd generation.

Also when it evolves its speed stat reduces dramatically, attack stat increases dramatically also losing one its secondary type for a new type.
