MABINOGI!

First topic message reminder :

Since the whole resurrection plan of maplestory is probably not going to happen anytime soon. We have decided to try out another game instead, Mabinogi. To make sure we get our fullest enjoyment possible when we all play it, im going to ask you all to start new characters, so we can all start together at the same time.

Who: Anybody that wants to join
What: Start playing Mabinogi
When: FRIDAY, January 8th @ 9PM EST

What you need to do before: All you need to do is download the client downloaded and installed and ready to go at 9PM EST on Friday.

I met up with Lars first then we found Kish. Lars then found Omar while Kish was stuck in the dungeon. Then Lars had to go without telling anyone (I think) then Omar, Kish and me did our own thing. Omar logged out, and then I logged out but Kish was still on.

Pretty much the gist on what happened,

Mabi character system is kind of a bastard......yes i hate it.
Anyway you guys could learn the baisics of combat because ITS A WHOLE NEW GAME, there is no endless grinding, no spammable skills, no classes, AND NO WAITING OR HAVING TO SHARE DUNGEONS WITH OTHER PEOPLE.
You decide on your preference and build skill points towards it,
Baiscally, for combat there are
Archery, Magic, and baisic attacking

Archery can really own in higher ranks being able to shoot instanly and hit your mark really kills your opponent fast without them even getting close to you. It also causes the most wound damage which means damage that is taken that cannot be recovered untill healed by a healer or bandages.

Magic is great however MP potions are not purchasable from NPC's so all MP pots must be obtained from outside sources. Though having good magic skills makes you extremley powerful and unlike archery it never misses.

Melee requires the most strategy.
Since melee attacks have no range, (besides the javalin but thats an exception) it requires a diffrent strategy for every diffrent type of monster. (No more minldless click and kill)

I went on and while talking to people I saw a guy that ran up to me and screamed
KISH!
It was Jando, so we hang out a little, I wasn't really paying attention at first by how much jando was moving around, then I realised I had to talk to them X_X
So when I talked to the people, I got a quest, something happened and I was meant to go into the dungeon and kill the giant spider, what I didn't know, was that there was a pre quest I had to do. So I did the dungeon three times before realising the pre quest, I kept doing quests and getting my own skills, tried to write a song but it turned out ALMOST what I wanted, after the 10th try I gave up.
I walked to the mine town to get the quest for throwing rocks, and this dude kept following me and asking for PVP. I got scared so I kept cancelling ):
How the hell do you get a mount anyway?
Took me like 10 minutes to walk through two maps while the PVPing guy kept coming back and forth...

And Alek kept annoying me =D

Best pet for combat assist Mini-bear, or special bears.
Best mount, Throughbred for the ground. You could also get airborn mounts, but they only can fly in Ira. Get Nao services if you can spare the extra amount.
Mimic Chests are good for extra storage.
Each pet has theyre own inventory that is shared.

Pets pets pets, a premium character card is about 10k

Pet costs vary. But yeah pets will be the most useful for extra bag space, transportaion, combat, and other things.

You should become a bard =O
Advance music writing can add special affects when played during combat. Like additional Stats and bouns's.
Not to mention its nice to have songs playing =P

I didn't think you could get specialisations
I'm so becoming a bard XD
but HOW do you get a mount? ):

Is it only nx too?

I think the pets are mounts and those cost nx

Its possible to do duets in the game to..
I belive you can create a music score so that it can be played with two or more people but it requires higher ranks.
And there are no specialites only skills. You distribute your skills to your preference to create unique build.

And yeah mounts are NX only

Why are some of the pet cards missing?
I was looking at the pets on mab and i found a Light Russian Blue kitty that i liked, but looked at the website and they only have the Dark Russian Blue card. I also noticed a lot of other pets missing like a panda and a bunch of others.. wait i just looked at it again on mab and the selection changed.... WHAT GIVES

Also, I have to wait until tomorrow morning until my first character deletes. Bah, so i'll be on tomarrow after school

Welllll. I suppose I could, but it would be aggravating because this is the same account i used for my main on maple, and im so used to that one. its going to be aggravating having to remember a whole new main. theres nothing to do at 2am anyway, so ill just wait. -goes to bed-
