They have increased the speed of there skills. I am 99% certain that I won't make one when it comes out to GMS in the summer, as I don't have any of my lukless mage gear anymore. -hint- -hint-

No I don't. It was my decision to give her my equips.
@Shen. I laugh at you for thinking 4 classes is enough. Things get boring after a while and if Nexon didn't put more variety into this game then no one would play.
KMS is already making a new class ready to be released in summer and is thinking if they should release a another in a year (winter) or just update the ones they have at the moment.
Evan's will be the most fastest leveling class in game without a spam-able ultimate.

I agree that 4 classes were enough. This has everything to do with making money and nothing to do with keeping player interest, because really, if they want to add variety they can add new maps, party quests, features (like families, monster books) instead. However, they'd rather add new classes, knowing that new characters means more nx spent! What gems!

I maplestory only had theif, bowman, warriors and mage. Things would get boring pretty fast. People would play classes they like and then stop playing. And when players don't play maplestory, nexon makes no money due to them not buying anything from the cash shop.
Having new classes/jobs/races not only brings alot of people back. (In KMS 200,000 users were calculated when pirates were created. 250,000 users were calculated during the release of Ck's and 200,000 were calculated for Arans. They estimate that Evan's will break the 250,000 due to them making it more like Eragon and things people already love in the real world.
Overall: Maplestory would be sort of dead if it was just the original 4 classes. New maps and towns are one thing but not having enough verity people will lose interest.

Is that actually what you get on for though? Do you get on maple everyday for the skills, the levels, the training... honestly? Don't you come on for the people to enjoy the game with. Its SO much more important to add things that will improve the community, help you make new friends. The reality is, no matter what character you play, spamming its skill over and over again will yes, eventually get boring... but people never do. Luring the people that originally quit doesn't improve anything, it makes the game less fun for everyone because suddenly those already overcrowded maps are even more competitive, and items prices sky rocket, and then eventually, those same users quit again. So adding new characters is really just a temporary fix. Nexon makes a lot of money, and its a smart business move, but I don't think the game is more exciting when they add new classes --- quite frankly, its 1000x more aggravating dealing with ksers, something that I never had a problem with before they started adding.
Granted, if nexon accomodated, added extra channels or mini dungeons, it'd probably be okay... but they don't.

Fo sho^
I think for them to truly make a stride in the right direction, they need to work on the social aspect of the game. I remember from my days of runescape *strokes beard* that there was so much more to that game than just grinding. There were so many fun minigames that you could play with your friends, which is one of the reasons its so popular. Nexon needs to find a way to incorperate people to interact with other people some way. Instead of people interacting with monsters.,,

So you can't handle a new class every 6 months then? People like different things, they log on to MS because they want to either hang out with friends, spend some quiet time train, etc etc.
Yes Nexon could make more mini-games, yes they could improve the community, but all this takes time. Kids theses days when they here about something they want it straight away. Programming is one of the most tedious things in the world. One word or anything can screw the whole thing up. For everyone who blames Nexon for every single glitch they find. HAVE YOU EVER BEEN A PROGRAMMER? The GM's don't program the game, nexon has specialist programmers who work there butt off to get the patch ready then get testers to test it. Since GMST shut down due to noobs, testing takes much more longer, if the testers find a problem the programmers then have to go back and see where they made the mistake. Now imagine trying to do that around 4 in the morning. IT WOULD BE A PAIN. Then comes to the point on why Nexon leaves glitches unfix its because of this. When the programmers see the code, they initial think I know how to fix it. They have to take the problem out, analysis it, fix it up then put it back into the server to see if it works. When a glitch stays the same after a patch it is because the programmers couldn't find a solution to it, so you would rather Maplestory shut down for a week so they programmers can fix it? or be able to play and live with it? Nexon also wouldn't want Maplestory shut down as it is one of the main income per week. They get estimated around $200m a week, they lose that if the programmers have to take a week to fix a glitch.
To my next point. Do you think the programmers enjoy what there doing? Adding content, fixing insanely hard bugs for kids? I wouldn't, it would be boring and bothersome and I don't know how they can cope with it, and for what? Kids then yelling at Nexon saying GG NEXON!! FIX THIS BUG!!! I WANT TO GET MY MON!!! Do you even know what bug is wrong with cwkpq? and why you unable to get past that stage? No you have no clue what could be wrong with it.
Now with the community of Maplestory. Nexon's new website and name Blockparty.com. There homepage is basically facebook, creating a more of a fun, attractive look for people who enjoy facebook. As for ingame purposes, KMS has heaps of more mini games and guild systems and everything like that. But GMS can only add some much in one time. Yes new things will be added to GMS, yes it will attract people in many ways. But it just takes time.
Now for "The more new classes released equals more kser's and what not". Yes when a new class is released, maps a filled with of kser's. If you think the server is crowed enough then get a server change, go to Yallonde or something where its basically a ghost town. If you don't like the people in your server then don't play or change servers. A new class is just one of the many ways Nexon attract's customers, to get them to buy more nx to fund nexon, That's why you see Aran's and Ck's with there separate nx inventories. It's the only way they will get more money with a new class. And a new class is only added every 6 months. Just deal with it, quit if you have to till the hype is over.
EVENTS! Why do you think Nexon hosts events? To get other people to party other people and work together to do them. All the party quests, require communication to get through. Nexon already has enough of person to person communication. Would you like it if nexon took away the chat bar? NO you won't. Communication is already a big thing in GMS and all maplestory's.
@Helen. Ch 20 was shut down due to Nexon's servers unable to handle them. In time they may add it back but they have around 7 - 9 servers and each of them have 19 channels. Thats 133 - 171 servers that nexon's main server has to run 24/7, Another channel will equal more lag till nexon can upgrade enough to handle it again. Which hints ch 20 returning after nexon's server upgrade from the 7th - 8th. There are currently 2 mini dungeons that we are missing out on. One for Mp3 and one for Pirates in Herb Town. Are you all really that desperate for more mini dungeons? Be grateful that they were released.

I can't be bothered reading that so I'm gonna say that our community sucks When we were in informal, we were getting together and having fun... Then CK came around and we basically never heard of them again. I've really just hated CK for a LONGGG time now. I even get annoyed using my BW because I'm too fucking powerful for my level, but I love the fact that because they changed blessing of the fairy to work with Adventurer + Adventurer it's started to make people go back to their old mains and CK are becoming a little more rare everyday...
By the way shen.. I remember those days too... It was so hard mining rune at level 6

Thats basically what helen was saying though.... why would you change servers if you have all your friends in the one your in? it would be stupid to rather have a few training channels than your original friends. plus, its another thing you have to pay 10 or 20 dollars for. sure, you could always make new friends in the other server, but would it really be the same? would you choose a training spot over everyone in the guild? were just saying that we need a few more mini dungeons, and it is true it takes a lot of programming. but, guess what, there already is an mpq mini dungeon in KMS or one of the other versions that they could easily copy over to GMS like all the other patches plus maybe even a few more updates that GMS doesent have and other versions do. if they took the chance to hire a few more people they could get updates done a lot faster and improve the game much more, plus make the same amount of money they do now with the updates attracting more people. we could definitely use some more GMs or people to actually pay attention to their players and how they train to be able to set up training spots easier. for instance, the skele and newt mini dungeons dont really work well with blaze wizards or f/p wizards, so were left out to find our own channel. i think if they tacked down the main problems as the very first thing or from the start, all this mess with people fussing over new classes wouldnt be as bad.
Now, i cant lie. this new Evan thing looks even cooler than the blaze wizard. that fire skill and those dragons look pretty badass. i may end up making one when i finish my blaze wizard since i already have the equips for it. (TEEHEE) that may be what ill end up doing after im done with my wiz instead of working on my sin (i miss you so much juppy ): ) I cant argue that having more classes keeps people playing, but thats not the ONLY thing that could do it... i agree with larz, ive been hoping for some new type of mini game for a long time. it doesnt even have to be something like match cards or omok, it should be totally different. just some things you could do besides grind or quest that would probly be a less big of a programing problem than making a completely different class.

I ellipsed it cause it was too long to quote. Why you so angry lately? I read it but, I'm like afraid to say anything back to it because you just seem genuinely frustrated with people that don't support nexon and their decisions. I mean, I'm sorry, but I just don't agree. Nexon is one of the greediest money grubbing corporations I've ever encountered. Can we still be friends? LOL
