i think there are some cheap alternatives to ipods, but it would be lacking some features that ipod has. the only thing i like about ipods are its interface and the ease of syncing, other than that, they are over priced for their functions compared to other mp3 players. So dont jump to an ipod if you can find another alternative (a phone)

ohh lol, yeah that makes more sense. i have lots of friends with a PS2, although they play the thing 24/7 and i wouldnt know when i could get it back to them. im not sure if they even have KH or FF games
and bah.. if i ever get money one day, a cell phones going to be one of the last things im getting. i dunno, i dislike phones. i hate people bothering me when i dont feel like being bothered (wich is the main reason i barely go on msn, people would always talk to me when i was doing something important)
and not only that, but their hella expensive and a huge pain for me to keep up with. i dont have a plan or all the wizamegadgets that go with it that cost extra money and whatnot. i tried getting a phone last summer, and it ate up my $100+ birthday money in a day and it only lasted a week with the constant spam texts and calls from just two people.
theres nothing wrong with just using a plain and simple house phone (besides the fact that i never pick it up :3)

I don't really liked to be bothered all the time either, so I'll either not pick up or "lose" my phone for a long period of time. But its a necessity for me now, sometimes you're stranded at the metro station and you need a ride, cell phones are the most convenient thing to use. I definitely use my phone a lot more than I use an I Pod or mp3 player.

Oh yeah, I have this weird thing that I need to flop my phone out every few minutes to check if I have a text. Truthfully... It's the best feeling in the world when I get a text. Plus since I'm whipping it out all the time, about 70% of the time I flip it out I'll get a text
I agree with Omar, you shouldn't really need an iPod, get a snazzy mp3 that I've never had and you get basically the same thing with less/ the same functions.

Also iPods are awesome but mp3 players will do the same thing not only for cheaper but easier to use when it comes to transfer music. With iPods you need itunes and you can only have it sync'd with one itunes at a time, to unsync it you need to format your iPod which sucks.

I bought a iPod shuffle after my phone died (to replace its mp3 features) but then I was gonna go on a road trip and I needed something that played movies. So I got myself a iPod nano 8gb. The screen is a tad small but it does the thing. What I should of done is get me psp a 4gb memory stick and put movies on that. That sweet screen is perfect for em'.

i might look at some other mp3s. any suggestions? i dont even know what all this sync and unsync jazz means. i probly wouldnt use any other feature besides actually just listening to the music on the ipod anyway. what excess features does it even have? CANT ANYONE JUST LISTEN TO PLAIN OLD MUSIC ANYMORE -shakes cane and feeds 30 cats-

Creative makes some good cheap mp3 players, if you just go to walmart or something i think you could find something pretty decent for a good enough price, but if you are planning on using it extensively (like i do), i would save up for an ipod because there would not be a regret, but if you just need something to play music and thats all you care about, then go for a cheap one

id like something that would last a long time and would hold a lot of songs.. so im thinking of just getting an ipod. id rather save my money for something that has full features and would last me a while instead of something that has half the features and not at much space for a slightly lower price.

I love rubber duckies so much! i got dem rubber ducky shower curtains, and dem rubber ducky towels, and actual rubber duckies. Quite frankly, I don't think i could take a shower/bath without their comfort. They keep me from drowninz.
