What happened on Kish's birthday 'D

As you might know, it was my birthday yesterday...
About 4 weeks before my birthday, i asked my mom if she could get me a Nintendo DS for my birthday.
Like, I dont ask for much, maybe a movie, some leegos (<3) or perhaps just something to do when i have completely nothing to do.
And I know that my parents have the shittest memories ever, so I asked about everyday...
Around three days prior to my birthday, I started complaining that my back was hurting, due to my chair. I had mentioned the chair...
I continued to remind them of the suggested DS soon to be in my pocket. Infact, my parents actually promised a DS, LITERALY promised a DS

The big day was a single day away, I began telling everyone that I was gonna get a DS, and how excited I was about it. My mum and dad went out spontaniously and came back after about an hour.
Mum was being hush hush about it, so I presumed that it was about the DS.

The big day was now upon us, I was bouncing around with joy, mum had stolen (okay she burned it) slumdog millionaire from a workmate, and so I watched that (fantastic movie). Afterwards (and a long discussion over the number of happy birthdays I got) I couldn't take it anymore and I asked my parents if I could get my present.
My mom looked at me, and smiled, she knew my party was going to be on saturday, and she said, 'We don't have it yet, wait until saturday.' I felt like she just punched me in the face, thats a really mean thing to do to your kid (but not as mean as the clothes in the xbox box thing).

I waited for my brother and sister to come, at least they might have something to do for this already shitty birthday. And they infact did! My sister Ilonka came first, she walked in a started beating me with an adorable scrat doll and singing happy birthday.
Afterwards she gave me a Horror movie collection box, we planned to watch one after cake. My brother San came next, he didn't have my present, but then again... He didn't promise anything. I didn't mind, he's cool enough to not have to.

We had cake, and begun our movie, 5 minutes in. Dad walked in with a rather large box in his hands singing happy birthday. I saw the picture on the side, and my heart sank. I was incredibly annoyed, they lied about the DS and lied about not having anything, and come to me with office supplies? -rageragerage-
But not infront of them, I pretended that i was the least bit excited and opened the box. But after it was open, I scratched my nose and told them to go to their room so we can watch the horror. Before mum left, she looked at me with worried eyes and asked 'Do you like your present?' I replied with a blunt 'Sure..'
As soon as they left, San gave me a hug and he told me that they weren't that smart about giving a teenager AT 16 office supplies, they didn't even get me something to do with a car. Nope... they got me a chair... A brand new chair.

did you remind your mum about the ds afterwords? maybe if you mentioned it once shell be like FAWK NOW I REMEMBER WHAT I WAS GONNA DO TODAY
that is a little mean to do to your kid though. promise him something he reallw wants, and dont get it.
even if they have the memories of a goldfish you should still be able to take the time of day to pay attention to what your kid wants for his bday... and if they really couldnt have goten it a simple 'no' probly would have been nice.
and the clothes in the xbox box? o-o rofl my parents did that to my brother on christmas, except it was just a prank and the real xbox360 was hidden in his room somewhere

wait, you mean you didnt have the party yet? PSH. i have a feeling their gonna suprise you. (could be wrong, but its happened before. a big letdown at first and then the good stuff comes when you least expect it)
i would atleast try mentioning 'DS' casually around them one more time to see if they say anything... o-o

Kish: (O.O) no it doesn't.
Kish's Brother: Dw little bro...here have some cookies
-kishes bro hands a box of cookies to kish-
-kish walks off to his room to enjoy he's cookies-
-kish opens the box of cookies to is shocked because a ds took there place-

-kish goes to INF to post that he got a ds-

nah i think he would cry becauce his precious cookies took the place of a stupid little inferior DS xD

i think a tear drop came out when i read the part where your parents gave you an xbox box full of clothes. that has to be the most cruel thing ever

the poor kid even did the whole "drop the box and act suprised" bit. he did get it later though, the discription says they found the kid had peeked the night before so they replaced the box with clothes as a result, and gave him the real thing later:
