Skype Chat

We'd always talked about doing this, and then just never did it. With winter break coming up for everybody (and the aussies are in the middle of summer), now is a better time than ever to do this. SO, tell me when you all get out of school for the holidays, and lets pick a good date and time to FINALLY do this thing. When I have a good idea of when everyone's free, I'll do that who-what-when-where-thingy-ma-jig Omar does.

Well let's just make sure that everyone is up for it first, before you go and spend your money. But I'm glad you have the resources available!

I just bought a new mike, so I'm ready, downloading skype

I have a Mumble server for us to use.
Its a nice chat program ive been using for gaming. Quick download and easy to use in game, letting you see whos actually talking while playing.

Im in the chat group so we have a 24/7 server constantly running. Anyone want to try it D:

I don't want to use mumble, because I think it's confusing. But we can put it to vote. If more people would prefer mumble, we can do that.

Also Alek, this isn't a chat on skype while you're on MS event. When I made the event, I wasn't anticipating everyone starting MS again. But again, if everyone wants it to be an MS/chat thing, then might as well change it.

I think Kish's point wasn't that it was a pain to download mumble, it was that if everyone already has skype, it makes more sense for Lars to just download skype because that's one person downloading skype, versus everybody else downloading mumble. Basically, it inconveniences less people if it's on skype.
