Today was the second day and it felt like i didn't even have a summer. Im so sick of school now and i hate having to think that i have another year after this one. Hopefully you guys don't feel this way though.

Um, your schedule is awesome, the only things I think that truly suck are english and history. I think chemistry in the beginning is really fun, and if you have a good algebra II class you get to learn precalc and trig towards the end of the year. In my algebra II class actually we learned a lot of matrix algebra, more than our standardized test wanted us to know, which at the time I thought was pointless, but now I'm really glad I know it because it's practical application is so mind-blowingly useful, especially in statistics. And you get to learn about imaginary numbers, and explore new types of functions and their graphs! I'm excited FOR you.

Wait...
Algebra... I learned precal past semeter... learning calc now... WTF?! I really I'm further than yeh guys O-O

ATM we are the limit propierties (dunno if that's translated correctly) But it really easy and funz =P On Math class we are learning binary system atm and well go to "trinary" system soon. Physics is starting a bit boring, but is going to get better, I'm sure of that. Programming is really boring at the moment, since everyone else is starting to learn how to do algorithms @-@
BUT TECH DRAWING MAKES UP FOR IT.

@Helen WELCOME BACK. It's too late to drop ap chem apparently i was one day too late when they stopped doing schedule changes so im fucked. It's so useless like, only a chemist and a chemistry teacher would use any of this shit. I wish i took ap physics because thats actually interesting to me and i can see real world applications for all of it. All i do is sleep and school work at home now..

@Angie I think your school system is like 100% identical to mine, the same thing happens with grades and credits and stuff to people here too. Only thing different with georgia from every other state in the country (i don't know why they choose to do this) but instead of algebra 1 and 2 and those classes, we have just math 1, 2, 3 and 4, we learn the same things its just grouped up differently so similar concepts go together. But out of state colleges dont know wtf math 1 and 2 is.

@Omar: Yeah, Math is kinda grouped like that here too, the only difference is that we have it up to Math 6:

Math 1: Algebra
Math 2: Geometry (not sure)
Math 3: Analytic Geometry
Math 4: Precalculus
Math 5: Differential and Integral Calculus
Math 6: Can't remember

Aside from that we have Physics and Math selected topics, which are pretty bawse @-@ and my eacher is awesome =P Really strict, but awesome.

But seriously, having History, Psicology and Geografy in a Math based Senior year? D:
It's gonna be pretty painful for mah brains, since History and Geoggraphy aren't my forts per-se, it's gonna take up some nights to study for tests and st00f.

Math has always been pretty easy on me up until I met Converting. (dun dun dunnn). But yeah, our school is quite similar to that. Algebra I then geometry then Algebra II then Calculus.

Well, early good luck with the school years everyone.

Ugh it feels like you guys are talking in another language. Trig? Imaginary numbers? ...Matrix algebra? I DON'T EVEN.

But holeeeyyyy crap Helen, those are some pretty expensive apartments. I know what you mean though... but it sounds like the COMPLETE opposite of here. Instead of being stuck up and snobby, people are too poor to give a crap so they do whatever the hell they want when they want. Something that I noticed about my city specifically is that everyone here is wayyyy too far under peer pressure though. They aren't into things because they think its all stupid, that being the reason why Pokemon is pretty much dead here and for a bunch of other things.
If someone went in the middle of a hall screaming "THE FLOOR IS LAVA", everyone would just look at you like you're a complete nerd and probably throw shit at you and then it would be around the entire school by next hour. Everyone has to be practically the same, or stay within the bounds of their "groups". Preps stay preppy, emos stay emo, freaks stay freaks, and if you fall out of one of those lines, everyone notice.

Yeah, I mean, I'm poor too. I really want to be around other poor people because people with money only want to do things that cost money. I love my friends that do poor people shenanigans with me, but our schedules don't always match up, and it would be nice to have more friends that I can relate to.

Omar, I know exactly what you are talking about. If I could go back I would've done AP Physics instead of Chemistry, and I hate Physics. To be honest, I would've done AP classes that would've allowed me to skip basic credits in college. Like I didn't have to take freshman english, but it would've been nice to not take freshman history, and sociology based credits either. I could've been a whole semester ahead.

Ugh, so much over achievement... its hurting my insides. I seriously don't think I know of a single person in my school that take AP classes.. if there are, then its definitely 10% or less. That's how unmotivated my school is. :/

The cost of living here is soooooooooooo much cheaper than it probably would be in the DC Area. Oh yeah helen, remember how you were talking about moving to Canada? Well Toronto has the second highest cost of living in all of North America, only under New York City, so you might want to think again. My cousin has a 2 bedroom apartment there, its pretty nice inside, but it costs 340k which is ridiculous. You could get a buy a mansion here for that much.

I changed my mind on Canada a long time ago. Depending on how the election in 2012 goes, I'll let you know if I'm staying in America. Otherwise it's Europe, probably the UK for me. Need to finish school first anyway. And I think cities in general, especially the ones on the coast, are really expensive to live in. I met people in Ohio living 10 minutes out of Cleveland paying only $250 for their apartments, maybe like $50 a month on utilities. But then again, of course they're that much because who wants to live in Cleveland. All they have is Cedar Point and the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. I just want life to be easy, I hate struggling to make money only to have most of it go toward basic living expenses.

Europe? Dang. You would think that would cost quite a bit just to make it there let alone living there. I myself would absolutely love to just move out of my parents house let alone out of this shitty state, the only thing stopping me is my age (and the fact that my age is also stopping me from getting a job to obtain funds for those things).

Bleh, im only 16 and yet im all set and ready to move out. Shouldn't there be something wrong with that.

Bleh, I dunno how I'm going to survive once I go to college, it's gonna be... intersting.
If I could move it would be anywhere but staying in my country, too bad is kinda hard for me, because mexcans have made themselves a pretty suckish fame, most people discrimnate us and on USA they don't take us that seriously, or at least most of people, even knowing that quite a part of the poblation are Mexicans. Hmm... I dunno where I could move with those facilities you guys have @-@ I seriously hate how my country is driven, most poloticians are under corruption and drug dealers appear to have taken control over us. Two things can happen, we get screwed or we get screwed. Theres is no real exit, the power is either corrupted completely and controlled by the drug dealers or drug dealers take over Mexico @-@ there is almost no hope for our contry :/ the only thing that could get us out of this is erradciating corruption and landing into the reality, but power is a harsh addiction and I doubt they are going to leave it just like that. Well, at least I have a chance to get out now that I think about it, my future careers (Videogame engineering and Animation) are mostly needed in foreign countries, which could give me a ticket outta here with at least an acceptable opportunity, you know, a job, a place to live and a way to keep alive. Guess I better start working harder than ever, it's not going to be easy.

I think there is opportunity here for Mexicans, despite the evident racism toward them. I knew this one guy, who if Gore had won, would've been in the presidents cabinet. I know another guy that's going to law school. On the other hand, those are the only two people and I can't think of ..

The other thing I know is that American colleges rarely accept Mexican high school diplomas. Not just Mexican actually, for some reason we don't usually allow anything other than an American high school diploma, which is absolutely ridiculous considering our system is ranked really low in comparison with other countries.

I guess what I'm saying is, America isn't really a place of equal opportunity. If you came here you'd have to work 10x as hard as a white person for half the reward. If I were you, I wouldn't come here.

Yeah, I'm aware of the work harder to get less st00f, but if thats going to give me a ticket to a better place, then I'm gonna do it no matter what, I'm not really planning to stay on the US, a god option for my career would probably be Europe or Japan, but time and work will tell.

FOR NOW ITS STUDY AM I RITE?!

Well if you want to work hard, more power to you! I don't mind working hard for what I want, but I find it annoying how privileged people pay their way through life, and that alone unmotivates me sometimes.

I completely agree with you Helen. :/ Double standers, you know?

That's one of the main reasons why im so demotivated to do something with art. Its hard knowing that there is always going to be someone better, higher up, and with more money than you.

Double Standers

Angie you just made my day

The class separation is what you bargain for in America. Greed is what runs this country. The other alternative is being having a communist government. Quite honestly, is communism, in china for example, really that bad? I think if you live in a developed city in China, your life is pretty close to an american living in the city.

Oh yeah, today i learned that Mississippi banned slavery in the state in 1995. #themoreyouknow

DOUBLE STANDARDS. BAH. I WAS TIRED LAST NIGHT. GO TO HELL.

Wait, what? In 1995? So your saying that slavery was actually still legal in, say, 1994...

I think Chinese government is actually really oppressive. Also, while I lean extremely liberal, I feel very uncomfortable with giving the central government that much power. With the right people it's fine but when the people don't have enough power it's easy for it to turn corrupt.

Communism (or I should really technically say socialism) I think would be awesome, but I do think people are innately greedy and that it'll never work. On the other hand a system based on the fact that everyone is out for themselves creates giants like wall street that will run the country into the ground if it means more money for them. I think what it boils down to is that government in large large numbers doesn't really work, which is unfortunate because it's the only way to live in relative peace. We're all Rome waiting to happen.
